GET TO KNOW / TITAN ACF01

Everyday driving, with run-flat support.

Titan ACF01 is a run-flat passenger tyre for compatible vehicles. It combines a conventional road-focused asymmetric tread with reinforced sidewalls that can temporarily help support vehicle weight after a loss of air pressure.

For normal driving, connected central tread sections support straight-line travel and substantial shoulder blocks provide structure through turns. Main grooves and smaller angled channels help move water away from the tread contact area. If pressure is lost, the reinforced sidewalls may allow limited continued travel, depending on the damage and the tyre and vehicle manufacturer’s operating limits.

NEW ZEALAND DRIVING

Run-flat support for everyday New Zealand journeys.

For New Zealand drivers whose vehicles use a compatible run-flat fitment, Titan ACF01 combines everyday road manners with reinforced-sidewall support. It is an option for town, motorway and regional sealed-road travel. Any continued travel after pressure loss must stay within the tyre and vehicle manufacturer’s limits.

PURPOSE IN THE PATTERN

The details behind the drive.

01

Reinforced run-flat sidewalls

Reinforced sidewalls can temporarily support the vehicle after a loss of pressure, within the tyre and vehicle manufacturer’s limits.

02

Water drainage on sealed roads

Main grooves and angled channels help move water out of the contact area to support wet-road contact.

03

Support through straights and turns

Connected central tread sections support straight-line driving, while shoulder blocks provide support through turns.

Understanding load ratings, ply ratings & UTQG

Load / speed: the load index and speed symbol identify the tyre’s rated capacity and speed category. A pair of load indexes gives the single and dual fitment ratings. Match your vehicle’s requirements.

XL and ply rating: XL identifies an extra-load tyre. A ply rating describes a strength category; it is not a count of the physical layers in the sidewall.

¹ UTQG: shown as treadwear / traction / temperature. These are comparative test grades, not a mileage promise. The traction grade relates to straight-line wet braking, rather than cornering.

KNOW YOUR SIZE

Look on your tyre’s sidewall.

Find a marking like the example below on the side of your tyre.

205/55 R16
205
Width — the tyre’s nominal width in millimetres.
55
Profile — sidewall height as a percentage of the width.
R
Construction — R means radial.
16
Wheel size — the wheel diameter in inches.

Enter 205/55R16 or 205 55 16 in the size finder.

Different markings or a 4WD size?

Some tyres use an inch-based size such as 31x10.50R15: nominal diameter, width and wheel diameter, all in inches. Enter the complete size as shown. Commercial sizes such as 195R14 are also supported.

Letters such as LT, XL or run-flat markings describe additional requirements. The numbers and letter after the size, such as 91V, are load and speed ratings. Check these against your vehicle’s requirements too.

Check the vehicle’s tyre placard or handbook as well as the current tyres. Front and rear sizes can differ. Your retailer can confirm the right fitment.
